Saturday at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) marks one of the most exciting nights of the year as the next generation racers and fans take center stage for the annual Kid’ Night. POWRi Super Stocks, B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Midwest Mods will compete for track points and applicable sanctioning points throughout the night.

 

The Kid's Night activities for kids 12 and under feature foot races on the track, and a chance to win prizes such as bikes and backpacks with prizes.  The kids will also receive some free treats and a goodie bag filled with trinkets and surprises.

 

Pits Open at 4:30, Grandstands at 5, Driver Pill Draw Close 6:15, Pit Meeting 6:30, Hot Laps 7, Racing at 7:30. Admission Information: $15 Adult Gen Adm - Seniors 65 to 74 $12, $6 Kids Ages 6 to 12 - Kids 5 and Under Free. FREE: Seniors 75 and Up - Confined to Wheelchair. All Pit Passes are $35 regardless of age.

 

Saturday Timeline: Pit gates open at 4:30, Grandstands at 5, Driver Pill Draw Cutoff 6:15 (No passing points awarded if late), Pit Meeting 6:30, Hot Laps at 7, racing to follow at approximately 7:30.

 

With just the month of August and one week in September left for championship points racing, a look at the current standings shows Dave Meyer leading Blaine Ewing in a close contest for the Super Stock championship, just 16 points separate the two men, both have two feature wins each. In B-Mod action, it’s down to two drivers as Tim Karrick leads Stephen Clancy by 66 points, both drivers have recorded two main event victories.

 

In the Pure Stock division, Jaren Powrie leads a pack of drivers in contention through the top five including David Doelz, Larry Drake, Devin Baker, and Chase Galvan. For the Midwest Mods, David Wood, with five main event victories, leads Alex Schultz with two main event wins, by 41 points. Complete standings may be found at www.centralmissourispeedway.net.
