Earl and Susan Walls will open the Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) gates one more time this Saturday, September 13 for the Fifth Annual Hog Roast Nationals presented by Midwest Coatings, LLC, and highlighted by a $3,000-to-win, 35-lap Super Stock main event. The Walls will bring their unprecedented 31-year career as owners and promoters to an end with this event.

The record car count at CMS stands at 140. Although it may be difficult to break this record, we are hoping to see as many drivers as possible on hand to send Earl and Susan and the staff at CMS off in grand fashion! Joining Super Stocks will be B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and Midwest Mods competing in full race programs.

As of this writing, there is added money as described to the following classes. Rocking T-S Cattle and Devin Wetzel Racing have put up an extra $400 total ($100 per class) to be distributed as follows: $100 extra to the winner of the B-Mod, Pure Stock, and Midwest Mods features and $100 to the fastest lap turned during hot laps in the Super Stock division. North 13 Pop-Up Sell Market and Sound Revival has put up $200 total ($50 per class for the runner-up (2nd place) in each A-Main. Nitro Nick Motorsports has put up an extra $200 total with $100 going to the Hard Charger (the driver who advances the most positions up from their posted starting position in the Super Stock main event, highest finish is tiebreaker). Another $25 each will go to Super Stock main event finishers in the 24th, 22nd, 20th, and 18th finishing positions. There are special event sponsor packages available for the Hog Roast Nationals, presenting a perfect opportunity to get your business name in front of the fans and drivers. Super Stock drivers have an $85 entry fee if they have competed at CMS six times prior to this event in any classes total. Entry for drivers not meeting this criteria is $100. All entry fees cover the driver’s pit pass and event entry. Support classes pay pit pass only and no entry fees. This is a POWRi sanctioned event for Super Stocks and Midwest. Track points will not be awarded in any class as the points season is over. Terry Schultz is the defending race winner.

Super Stock Main Event Payout:  1) $3000, 2) $2000, 3) $1000, 4) $900, 5) $700, 6) $600, 7) $500, 8- $450, 9) $400, 10) $350, 11) $300, 12) $250, 13) $200, 14) $200, 15) $200, 16) $200, 17) $200, 18) $200, 19) $200, 20) $200, 21) $200, 22) $200, 23) $200, 24) $200.  Other payouts are available on the track’s official website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net under the RULES/FORMS tab.

The format for all divisions is passing points from heat races setting up the grid for the main events, low heat is tiebreaker. There are no provisional starting spots in any division. All formats are subject to change based on car count and official’s decisions.

Special Event Admission Prices are in effect:  $20 Adult Gen Adm - Seniors 65 to 74 $15, $6 Kids Ages 6 to 12 with Kids 5 and Under Free. FREE: Seniors 75 and Up - Confined to Wheelchair. All Pit Passes are $40 regardless of age.

The Saturday event timeline features one hour earlier start times than normal. The timeline for events is as follows:  Pit Gate opens at 3:30, Admission Gates at 4. The cutoff for drivers to check-in for racing is 5:15 (late check-ins will not earn passing points). The pit meeting takes place at 5:30, followed by practice “hot” laps at 6, with racing to follow at approximately 6:30.

Following the races, the Hog Roast will take place. A $5 ticket upgrade will be available for anyone wanting to have a hog roast meal plate. This is a BYOB event. Everyone is invited to attend the after-race party in which the top 10 drivers in Pure Stocks, Midwest Mods, B-Mods, and Super Stocks for weekly championship points. Please note, the driver must be present to collect winnings for the year. The party will carry on after the driver recognition with karaoke by Char Bar through the night. Attendees may bring their own beverages of choice.

A special wall of statistics from the entire 31-year span of history of CMS under the ownership and promotions of Earl and Susan Walls will be on display. The statistics are courtesy of Glyda Jaeger, who served as statistician the entire length of the Walls’ tenure at the helm of the track. CMS wishes to thank Glyda for sharing her love of CMS with all the drivers and fans.

Primitive-style camping with no hookups is available at CMS. Please call Sam in advance to ensure you have important information about camping and safety at CMS. The number is 660.909.1083. CMS is a cash only operation. There are ATMs on both sides of the speedway. Concessions and food trucks are available on both sides of the speedway. No outside food or drinks are allowed.

We are expecting a full pit area for Saturday night’s events; Reserved pit stalls are in effect. Guest drivers, do not park on reserved lots, marked with metal poles and numbers and metal plates along the fence. You will be required to move if you take a reserved stall.

Visiting drivers and fans are VERY STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to visit the track’s website to familiarize themselves with the track’s “Good to Know Information” and “Track General Rules. “I didn’t know doesn’t fly at CMS so read the rules before you come!
